Questions permeate every material of Where Do I Sleep at Night?; a work that investigates the feelings of impermanence and displacement among victims of dementia. As an effort to make fleeting memories concrete documentary mediums of photography and writing are used, acknowledging the deteriorating memory in victims. However, the photographs capture locations that can’t be specifically placed and depict people and objects through blurs, vignettes, and overexposures. The projected description of the bedroom, a usual space of comfort, is underlined with a sense of insecurity in its tone.
